Dr. Shana Davis
Shana is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who completed a Master of Science in Nursing at Medical University of South Carolina in 2007 and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in August 2020. She has gained her mental health experience in inpatient, outpatient, emergency/ crisis/substance detox, and private practice.
Shana has worked with patients ages eleven and up with anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorders, ADHD, PTSD, and OCD. She also has worked with substance dependent populations.
Her paper, “The Effects of Shared Decision-Making on Patient Participation in Discharge Meetings in a Behavioral Health Unit” was published in the American Journal of Psychiatric Nursing.
She also has collaborated with other authors in the following books: The Power of the V with Debbie LeSean, Healing Toxic Habits Vol.2 with Latisha Nicole and The Waiting Room with Debbie LeSean.
Her behavioral health practice, Forever Healing Hearts and Minds, is currently operational in North Carolina.
Shana currently lives in Sumter, South Carolina with her husband Michael and son Christopher. Her son Shane is currently in the United States Navy. She is extremely proud of her daughter-in love, Tazhane and grandson Kaison Amir. She also loves her bonus four children, Cedney, Justice, AnnMarie and Amir.
Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with the love of her life, Mike, her family, fellowshipping with friends, and sorors in the Gamma Xi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Incorporated. She also enjoys reading, watching movies, walks in the park, and what she likes to call her sanctuary, which is the beach.
Shana lives her life by a certain philosophy: I love people and I desire to make sure that everyone I encounter has the best life and lives it unapologetically.
